The Channel Island Ferry

Condor Express & Vitesse
These 2 state-of-the-art fast car ferries operate between the Islands, the UK and France, with space for 726 passengers and 185 cars. A computerised ride-control system offers the smoothest possible journey along with many other features and facilities.

Commodore clipper
A purpose built conventional ferry designed for a year round, all-weather service. This well-equipped ship operates daily between the Islands and Portsmouth and has space for 300 passengers and over 100 cars.

Condor 10
This fast car ferry is the most recent addition to the Condor fleet, operating a service between the Channel Islands and St. Malo. The service offers another option for both UK and Channel Islands residents taking their cars to St. Malo, providing them with an opportunity to be flexible with their travel arrangements.

DFDS Seaways B.V. is de passagiersdivisie van het Deense DFDS concern. Een beursgenoteerd bedrijf met in totaal 4200 medewerkers. Het Nederlandse kantoor telt ca. 40 werknemers. DFDS Seaways richt zich niet alleen op de verkoop van overtochten, maar ook op de samenstelling en verkoop van een uitgebreid aanbod vakantiereizen naar Noord-Engeland en Schotland. Daarnaast is het organiseren en uitvoeren van op maat gemaakte groepsreizen een belangrijke activiteit. De vloot bestaat uit 7 moderne passagiersschepen en wordt beschouwd als een van de grootste van Europa. In vergelijking tot de hotelwereld, is DFDS Seaways één van de grootste hotelketens van Scandinavië met gedurende het hoogseizoen circa 9000 bedden per nacht en parkeergelegenheid voor 2500 auto's. Algemene informatie:

Since 1994 Eurotunnel has been transporting people and goods through the Channel Tunnel between the UK and France.
The Group operates a fleet of 25 shuttle trains which carry cars, coaches and trucks. It is a transport system unequalled for speed, reliability and frequency.
Eurotunnel manages the infrastructure of the Channel Tunnel and receives toll revenues from train operating companies whose trains pass through the Tunnel.
The British and French governments have granted Eurotunnel a concession to operate the Channel Tunnel until 2086.

Informatie:
Norfolkline's Dover-Dunkerque passenger operation was inaugurated in May 2000.
The Northern Merchant was used to introduce the service and was joined by the Midnight Merchant in late summer of 2000. Both these ships were built in 2000. In autumn of 2002, the Dawn Merchant, built in 1998, joined the route, allowing up to ten return crossings a day. All three vessels are 22000 tonnes identical sister ships and the fleet is among the most modern operating on the Channel routes.
The Northern Merchant and Midnight Merchant have been modified to provide double deck loading and faster turn-round times. More sailings, greater capacity, faster turn round times – and still the same outstanding quality of personal service that is the hallmark of the Norfolkline operation.
Introducing the shape of the future - three new state of the art ferries will join our fleet by June 2006. The first two will enter service in September and December 2005. The ships will be bigger, more luxurious, faster and have been designed specifically for the Dover – Dunkerque route. They will also have completely separate relaxation and vehicle decks for both tourist and freight customers.

The first names and family names of all passengers, their dates of birth and nationalities, together with the registration number of the vehicle.
Checking In 1 hour prior departure. If you arrive later than this, you may lose the place you have booked.
Tickets are to be purchased in the terminal before checking in.
At evening & nightdepartures, cabins are compulsary.
In the fare are 2 meals & drinks (beer, wine, juice, water, milk, coffe) included!2 meals and drinks(i.e. wine, beer, soda, coffee) are incl. in price
Gas containers (propane, butane, etc.) must remain closed during the voyage.
Pets are not allowed on the voyage.
The Company reserves the right to modify the schedule and interrupt or cancel journeys in the event of inclement weather, for technical reasons or for any other reason. Conditions governing the transport of passengers are displayed on board the vessel.
