Informatie:
De Deense veerdienstmaatschappij Bornholmstrafikken werd in 1866 opgericht door lokale handelaren van het eiland Bornholm. De orginele naam was "Dampskibsselskabet paa Bornholm af 1866 A/S", en werd in de volksmond de "66" genoemd. In 1973 nam de Deense staat het bedrijf over en werd Bornholmstrafikken een staatsbedrijf.
Wellicht leuk om te weten is het feit dat de twee nieuwe Bornholmstrafikken schepen gebouwd zijn in Nederland bij de Volharding werf en de Merwede werf.

Color Line Ferry is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Color Group ASA. The company operates five international cruise ferry lines between eight ports in Norway, Germany, Denmark and Sweden. 4.2 million people traveled with Color Line in 2002. In addition the company carried 800,000 private cars and 139,000 heavy goods vehicles.

Color Line Ferry operates nine ships - seven modern cruise ferries, a high-speed passenger ferry and a cargo ship (ro-pax). Color Line\'s ships offer facilities and activities suitable for every age group. On board there are all categories of restaurants and large tax-free shops with a wide selection of goods. Color Line Ferry offer a wide range of cabins on the ships from the roomy five-star Color Class suites to the more modest one-star cabins. Eckerö Linjen is a marketing brand name for Rederiaktiebolaget Eckerö. The brand name was introduced in the late 1960's and has become renown in the public eye. Our suitably sized ferries help create a familiar atmosphere between the passengers and our staff. Many of our passengers are frequent visitors to Åland and the familiar atmosphere onboard has strengthened the company profile. We like to talk about geniality and safety.
Eckerö Linjen is also - definitely - a tourist agency, cooperating with all the hotels, lodges, cottages and other service providers as well as with sports and cultural organizations on Åland. The Incoming Departments in Grisslehamn and Eckerö cover the whole range of tourist products on Åland in their sales - from simple accommodation to various packages for individuals and groups, activity holidays, and conferences. Information:All four of the Finnlines Hansa-class vessels provide a setting for your sea voyage that
no other shipping company on the route between Finland and Germany can match:
luxuriously spacious (20-square-metre) cabins, all with large windows for magnifi cent
sea views and room for three or four occupants. Th ey are also very popular with persons
travelling or their own or couples.
All cabins are appointed with comfortable travel uppermost in mind: every one has a
shower and a WC, a writing/dressing table, satellite TV, radio, intercom, safety deposit
box, wardrobe and luggage cupboard, air conditioning and fridge. All cabins on Finnlines passenger/cargo vessels in service on the Helsinki-Travemünde route are on the outside of the ship. Nearly all windows command splendid views of the Baltic.The route that Finnlines passenger/cargo vessels sail between Helsinki and Travemünde is longer in terms of kilometres than any other regular passenger service to or from a Finnish port.
Th e trip takes about 36 hours in each direction: you leave in the evening, spend the whole of
the next day at sea and arrive early in the morning on the third day. All four of the Hansaclass
vessels that Finnlines operates were designed specifi cally for a route of this length.

History of Hurtigruten
In 1891, August Kriegsman Gran, the national steam ship advisor, came up with the idea of providing an express shipping service between Trondheim and Hammerfest. Two steamship companies, The Nordenfjeldske Dampskibsselskab and the Bergenske Dampskibsselskab, were offered the route, but rejected it, regarding the sailing during the dark and stormy winters as impossible. At the time there were only two marine charts in existence and only 28 lighthouses north of Trondheim.
Vesteraalens Dampskibsselskap, a relatively young steamship company based in Stokmarknes, took up the challenge. For some time, Captain Richard With and his pilots had been keeping accurate notes on courses, speeds and times taken to sail the route and felt that the service would be viable.On 18th May 1893, the government entered into a 4-year contract with Vesteraalens Dampskibsselskap, providing the company with the backing for a weekly sailing between Trondheim and Hammerfest during the summer and Trondheim and Tromsø during the winter. There were nine ports of call on the route.

The roundvoyage
There are many ways of travelling on Hurtigruten, and a round voyage is just one of them. A
round voyage can be taken in several different ways, all with the common feature of a cabin and full board included in the package price. You can choose between several stretches of the route and also opt for an 11-day round voyage, or a ‘full trip’ as we call it, which will give you the whole experience. There is no better way of seeing Norway’s extensive and beautiful coast.

been active in RoPax ferry transport on the Baltic Sea between Germany and the
Baltics since 1995.
Concerning passenger transport, it is the general agent for Germany and Western
Europe of the Lithuanian shipping company AB “LISCO BALTIC SERVICE” that has its
head office in Klaipeda/Lithuania. This includes marketing and sales activities

The Polish Baltic Shipping was established on 31st January 1976 as a state owned shipping company. Under the operating name Polferries, the company runs ferry routes between Poland and Scandinavia. Polferries is the largest Polish ferry operator.
In 1996, Polferries approved quality assurance system the International Safety Management Code (ISM).
In May 1997, the company was recognised as meeting the requirements of the Quality Management Certificate ISO 9002, and in July 2003 the Quality Management System was recognized as confirmed with the norm ISO 9001:2000.
In 1994, the Polish Baltic Shipping Company was transformed into a wholly owned company of the State Treasure and on 31st December 1992 the company became legally recognised as corporate body.
Polferries operates three ferries providing passenger and vehicle services on the following four routes:

MS Norröna 
Op 24 augustus 2002 werd het schip MS Norröna tewatergelaten
in Lübeck (Duitsland). In de zomer van 2003 maakte de MS Norröna voor
het eerst haar koers richting de Færøer, Shetland Eilanden, Noorwegen
en IJsland.

Het MS Norröna voldoet aan alle nieuwe internationale eisen met betrekking tot veiligheid op zee. Alle hutten en publieke ruimtes zijn voorzien van rookmelders en brandblusapparatuur. Het schip heeft een lengte van
164.50 meter, een breedte van 30 meter en een snelheid van 21 knopen.
De capaciteit is 1.482 passagiers en 800 auto's.
Aan boord heeft u keuze uit uitstekende restaurants en vele andere moderne faciliteiten zoals een winkelgalerij, bars, nachtclub, speelruimte voor kinderen, sauna, solarium, zwembad en fitness centrum.

The origins of the Tallink brand go back to 1989, when a company named Tallink was founded as a Finnish-Soviet joint venture. The business of the venture was primarily intended to transport tourist passengers on the approximately 80 kilometer route between Helsinki and Tallinn. In 1990, its first year of operation, the company operated only one chartered vessel, the ferry Tallink, and transported approximately 166,000 passengers on the Helsinki – Tallinn route. In 1991, Estonia became independent, which rapidly increased interest in visiting Estonia, mostly among the Finnish public. To respond to the growing demand for trips from Finland to Estonia, the company also chartered the ferry Georg Ots in 1993, which was previously competing with the company’s own ferry. During 1993, when the state-owned Estonian Shipping Company (“ESCO”) acquired the remaining shareholdings, the company also marked the milestone of one million passengers annually.
In 1994, an operating company named EMINRE was established, in which [private investors] held a majority and ESCO was a minority shareholder. This operating company acquired the business of the original Tallink company in 1995 and continued to use the Tallink brand. By the mid-1990s, the market for transport between Helsinki and Tallinn had evolved as a growing group of passengers began to prefer a quicker form of transport to the more leisurely cruise concept. As a result, so-called high-speed ferries arrived on the routes. These could transport passengers between the two capitals in approximately one hour and 40 minutes, as opposed to the approximately three and a half hours required for the more traditional cruise ferries. Five cruise ferries and two high-speed ferries were operated between Helsinki and Tallinn and in 1995, we carried 1.8 million passengers on that route.
In 1996, the operating company changed its name to AS Hansatee but continued to operate under the Tallink brand. One of the previous shareholders left to start its competing shipping business. In the same year, a new management team headed by current chairman of the management board Enn Pant was brought in to improve our performance.
We had initially chartered all our vessels, but the new management changed our operating model from chartering to ship ownership. In March 1997, we commenced an investment and fleet renewal program involving expansion to new routes and acquisitions of new ferries starting from one high-speed ferry and two passenger cruise ferries in 1997. During the same year Tallink was subject to management buy-out by our current management, the present group structure was introduced and AS Hansatee became Aktsiaselts Hansatee Grupp, which was then in 2002 renamed Aktsiaselts Tallink Grupp.
In 1998, we marked the milestone of two million annual passengers as well as the introduction of the first route between Sweden and Estonia (Kapellskär – Paldiski in 1998 with the Stockholm – Tallinn route following in 2000). We have continued to implement the growth strategy by acquiring additional cruise and high-speed ferries. We further ordered two high-class cruise ferries the first of which, Romantika, was delivered in 2002.
In 2003, a group of international institutional investors became shareholders of Tallink through an international private placement transaction. The offering amounted in total to EUR 37 million where new shares were issued by Tallink and a part of existing shares were sold by Tallink’s largest shareholder Infortar. The private placement transaction enabled us to continue with our growth strategy. In 2004 we acquired two additional high-speed ferries, our second ro-ro cargo vessel and launched Romantika’s sister vessel Victoria I.

TT-Line

TT-Line, een private scheepvaartmaatschappij, onderhoudt al sinds 1962 rechtstreekse veerbootverbindingen tussen Duitsland en het zuiden van Zweden. De in Hamburg gevestigde maatschappij met haar toekomstgerichte vlootbeleid, marktleider in vracht- en personenvervoer, dankt haar succes aan het leveren van constante kwaliteit en de toepassing van innovatieve technologieën, waar zowel de klanten als het milieu baat bij hebben. Met een gemiddelde leeftijd van zeven jaar vormen de schepen van TT-Line de jongste vloot op de route naar Zweden. Onze klanten kunnen kiezen uit tot 20 afvaarten per dag tussen Duitsland en Zweden. We vervoeren bijna een miljoen passagiers en 300.000 vrachteenheden per jaar.

In totaal varen er zes schepen op de routes van Travemünde en Rostock naar Trelleborg en Helsingborg. Op de klassieke route Travemünde-Trelleborg opereert de maatschappij momenteel met vier milieuvriendelijke ‘groene’ schepen: de moderne Jumboschepen NILS HOLGERSSON en PETER PAN en de combiveerboten ROBIN HOOD en NILS DACKE. Op de route tussen Rostock en Trelleborg, in bedrijf sinds 1992, vaart naast de comfortabele RoRo-veerboten TOM SAWYER en HUCKLEBERRY FINN. Sinds 2003 wordt met de milieuvriendelijke schepen ROBIN HOOD en NILS DACKE een speciaal op het vrachtvervoer gerichte veerdienst uitgevoerd tussen Travemünde en Helsingborg.

Met het in de vaart nemen van de ‘groene’ schepen NILS HOLGERSSON en PETER PAN met hun milieuvriendelijke aandrijvingssystemen heeft TT-Line een volgende stap gezet in de ontwikkeling naar een milieuvriendelijke scheepvaartmaatschappij. Op dit moment beschikt TT-Line al over een van de milieuvriendelijkste vloten in Europa. Dankzij haar consequente betrokkenheid bij het milieu en haar op maximale klantvoordelen gerichte vlootbeleid is de Hamburgse rederij in Zweden uitgeroepen tot transportonderneming van het jaar 2000 en heeft zij bovendien de Ship Pax Award 2001 gewonnen. In 2002 ontving TT-Line de prestigieuze Lucia-prijs voor haar bijdrage aan de promotie van Zweden als vakantieland in Duitsland en dit jaar heeft de Zweedse Transport Associatie TT-Line de Innovatieprijs 2003 overhandigd.
